Great run at the PokerStars Blogger tournament, ended up finishing 58th.
There's one hand I'd love to take back, where I folded AQ to an UTG raise because he was playing really tight and hadn't played a hand in orbits. It was the right decision, but my heart wept.
I tried stealing the blinds a couple times near the end and continued to get re-raised. Every time it was a sizable percentage of my stack. I finally was successful after stealing with the hammer, getting called, checking down the flop, and pushing on the turn. I showed in accordance with the ritual, but it probably was not the advertisement I wanted to make at the time. It would be the last time I would win a hand.
With the blinds big enough to swallow small mammals whole, I pushed with A9s and got called by AQs. He flopped a flush draw, and I cheered when a 9 hit, only to realize after showdown that it made his flush. He even got a 4th diamond on the river. Dick.
So now I sit by my mailbox, waiting for my PokerStars hat.
